  • nice saddle, there, salty-one ; ) now...where's that horse??

  • @RestlessButterfly - Hey, Restless One! How is your spirit flying? Wild and Free? Like a Butterfly?
I bought a house on 1 1/2 acre 23 miles from this town of Missoula, MT, USA. It has been in dire need of repairs and I've been working on it putting in new doors, toilets, kitchen sink, and all that. I hope all is well with you, lovely lady of SE Asia. Love, Grey Farmer of Montana

  • @belskaylar - Hey, Elusive DreamCrafter; I hope all is lovely with thee in Zanth. (Piers Anthony) I mentioned that I bought 1 1/2 acres with a house in need of my tender ministrations. Thus, I've been working out there (23 miles from here up the Clark Fork River at Clinton, Montana.) 3 to 4 days a week. My lady friend insists that we spend 3 to 4 days per week here in Missoula so I can pick a few tunes at (The Circle)(Blue Grass/Country) and go to her Blue Grass band's weekly gig locally.
I've put on two new doors, two flushing toilets, a kitchen sink, planted shrubs, watered the house area and environs and picked up sore muscle, countless small cuts and bruises and sent many furious blasphemies, Tetragrammaton utterances and other irreverent behavioral manifestations to the irresponsible keepers of the Universe.
Now; As to the horse. The neighbor explained to me that the fences are wrinkled and crunched and most vegetation munched to near extinction by -- yes; a horse. I grew up on a ten thousand acre ranch and I know that a horse eats 1 1/2 times as much as a hungry cow and it's delicate palette is offended by cheap hay. If the resident horse was eating shrubs, lilacs, crab apple and other trees, then said horse was HUNGRY and was proving a 1 1/2 acres will not support a horse for long. Hence, No horse. yet. But I will build a art studio/garage/shop/music studio forthwith, and if I can swing it, it will be in the shape of a red barn with loft and other such unrealistic visionary schemes. Most of my inheritance might to into it. Money will not be safe now but REAL estate will be. You can live off of a garden and a root cellar, (also on the list) (grin 2x) Please tell me what you are doing now, Oh, Maiden of mystical, forested spirit worlds. Love, grey

  • @saltypepper1357 - hi, salty but no horse yet farmer ; ) good work on the new place! and glad thee keeping lady friend happy picking the bluegrass ; ) i will entertain happy dreams, thinking of you building an artstudio/garage/shop/music studio. oh, yes. and in MT. it doesn't get much better than that. agreed; the coming times will be most interesting/challenging via normal channels such as money/food chains, and the old ways will support us.
i live in my interesting Queen of Mining Camps, bisbee, with a beloved, also. preparing slowly for court to regain joint custody of only child, who has gone teenage on me. meanwhile my body also re-wiring, given that i am in mid-fifties.
    was that TMI? ; )
    glad you checked in, grey-one.
    peace and blessings, always...

  • @saltypepper1357 -  Can you email me your correspondence address?

  • @RestlessButterfly - Hey, RestlessButterfly; How great to hear from you, Oh, Lady of the Lovely Isles. My address is Lloyd George Crosby, 3939 Yorkshire Place, Missoula, MT 59808 - that's five nine eight zero eight.
Events have been and are pretty hectic & hurried these days but soon will slow down. The weather here went from too hot in the days to too cold at night; near freezing! I'm trying to get a house I bought ready for winter. Water pipes freeze in the winter here and that can ruin a building. I do so long to be active in Xanga again. I will be soon. I'm delighted to hear from you, lovely lady! grey farmer. (my email is grey_farmer@yahoo.com and grey.ib4u@gmail.com) Later

  • @belskaylar - HAIL! Artemis Agrotera, Goddess of the Hunt! Methinks the southern climes are to your liking. Here, a week ago it was hotter than Hades and two nights later it was near freezing. I hauled five thirty-two foot trellises to begin working on the afore mentioned garage/studio. Something laying in the yard to keep my dreams alive and a pattern to build them. Four days till the showdown with my siblings re the embezzled trust funds. I hope they don't make me take them into court. Speaking of court, I hope all works to thy benefit regarding your child. These matters can be so heart wrenching. I raised my two sons single parent. I'm wanting to spend more time on Xanga and I soon will. grey

  • @saltypepper1357 -  Thanks for the address. I'll send you some souvenirs from Malaysia - once able to walk properly.

    Be well. Take care.
