  • The older one is, the faster time flies

When I was in the first and second grade, summer vacation was eternal. In high school, it was still quite a while, what with buck'in bales of hay and fixing miles of fence. Now three months is like an overnight thing. Perception of time changes with age. O.K. - I'm not the first to notice it; I'm only saying it gets more important as time passes. I try to anticipate the limits, and fail miserably. sigh

  • Posting, in the new xanga. hmmm

Well, Posting an entry in the new scene seems a bit awk-ward.
I keep pulling up pictures, and loading them to here, where? aak! where did it go?

Life IS: A struggle for existence. It can be more or less Fun depending on Nature, Nurture, proclivities, blah blah blah ... A body and brain develop; a mind develops within it. Mind starts making connections with perceived "reality." A "Consciousness" (miracle time) with "Self" grows within.
In the case of "Me," I really do remember becoming Me. Best guess is about two years old in Loma Linda, California, in the spring of 1943. I remember 'popping' into existence in the back seat of the car with my cousins Juny and Paul, with Uncle Carl Ray and Aint Mebby (Aunt Melba) in the front. We were entering a circle drive with eight houses on top of a small mountain above the beautiful Seventh Day Adventist college and community below where Uncle went to Preachers School, (seminary). The latter parts of the 'remembered' picture developed and 'filled-in' sometime later, I guess. I remember a scarey face in the top of the shower stall and bogey men in the dark of the trees looking down into the trees from the top of the mountain. We threw rocks down at them.

I never thought I'd live this long. Odd, this is; my mind thinks I'm 42 years old and my body is sure I'm 82. Interesting ...
