OH. I see. I forgot something: Like; I went over the mountains to see my mother. It's been a long time. She and I go waaaay back to Louisiana, Baton Rouge and New Orleans. It's a different culture there. The Spanish were doing evil things after Columbus, like terrorizing South American by bringing murdering soldiers, disease and replaced the old religions in the 1500's and 1600's. The Spanish and Portuguese destroyed cultures older than their own, some going back 2000 years B.C. They were poking around the mouth of the great Mississippi. So New Orleans is a mixture of Native Americans, a few Spanish, then the French began the fur trade in the New Orleans area. Later slavery of blacks from Africa. Cajun French is still spoken in some bayous (swamps)
All I'm trying to say is, that there is a hellova mixture of cultures down there. The part of my family from up here like my brothers and sisters do not know anything about where Mother & I came from. Now she is 87 yrs old and suffering from advancing dementia, old memories are about all that's left, so I should be with her. I would be if it were not for my siblings who have taken her estate and won't even pay to have someone stay with her. I'll try to fix that, damn them. So, I guess I didn't mention all that stuff. I hope you are not sorry you asked. (smile)
No matter where we are, we should always remember where we came from and the great things that our parents, especially our mothers did for us.
Hey, Aaron Thanks, Noble Mon: Right On. My mother is 87 and suffering from dementia. She can't remember anything of the recent 40 yrs but she and I go way back to a different culture, place and time. My five half siblings kinda resent that, especially because they are with her all the time, but in her in-and-out-space-trip she only remembers me and I had not seen her for years. GUILT !!!!! Even though it's not my fault. Aaron; it is exactly like you say; " ... the great things that ... our mothers did for us. That is a powerful thing on my mind right now. She needs me, she lives over the mountains 186 miles away and I'm a 'po boy. I don't want to lose my place here and I don't want to be around those relatives. I'm thinking of starting to believe in a god, the Christian dude who has a nice hot hell, just so's I can wish my siblings there !!! How's that for poetic social justice unfulfilled and maybe wishful thinking Ho HO just kidding. but they are evil (smile) Hey, your site is interesting! grey
Thank you. I'll know fairly soon. It is kinda odd. She is 87 with advanced dementia. I have 5 half siblings younger then I, and she can only remember me because I go back to before we came to Montana in 1947. grey
