  • There was a child of fancy, loving dancing, liked to be prancing;  which is the way is should be, even cleaving to romancing.  And that's what makes the world go round, without out it there could not be one; the planets in there orbits, mother Gaea be our own.  If there is a simple answer, It not be known to us.  And we all love a mystery, so let's enjoy --- as we must

  • True happiness is singing at the top of your lungs in your car while the people in the car next to you are staring.  Haha... just kidding!

  • Love makes the world go around.  Love makes us all bound together by the spirit of humanity.

  • I think that singing on stage is quite the thing; at one's very best is clearly the best, but what do I know? nothing. (smile)

  • yes, there is no answer, and we do all love a mystery.

    well-said!

Re mystery. I hesitate to answer, because this time of night, I fall. But cowboys stick together lest we fall. Uh, well ........
There be four points on the compass; thee; the known, the unknown and the unknowable. Your horse, you know, you better know, or she'll put you on the ground. The unknown is like a saddle bronk, you chance her if you dare; I'll never travel the unknowable... Yet you almost have to try. Uhmmm. I must quit now, for now, I'm getting kinda sleepy.
By the way, did you ever try to shell shimp when you're drunk?
I won't get an answer, from you, though I wish. But I'll quit now, 'cause I better. Buenous nouchas, mia amigous. grey

    I do not mean you dear one;
You are the witch of Tarot, a woman not my wife; I may not say key Six.
But In ways you resemble my daughter; bright, sensitive, emotional--unstabile; and so I have to leave you. But in ways you resemble the minionette, who's love means ruin,
    Child and Minion, aspects of myself;
You cannot fit my script And I dare not fit yours PA

  • interesting that i would meet thee in a comment where i talk about Gaia and thee would mention Gaia in your latest post. or is the scary athena being too mysterious? ; ) (maybe this profile pic will be less scary ; )

  • @belskaylar -

Hi, Zeyta; A most commendable response.
Of course, it is scarey Athena; all my life I have been in thrall. She will not be forsaken, regardless of my fear, but a man must have a goddess, consequences in arrears. I'm simply a mortal man, tsk tsk.

  • @saltypepper1357 -

so thee is pagan? or simply a lover of diana/athena, the huntress?

  • @RestlessButterfly -

One true happy-ness is knowing you (smile two times)
grey ((by the way, I do read your works))

If I were not so tired, I would not resort to a Wiki thing. But I am. So --
    *Artemis*Artemis, by Adrienne Maples
She's definitely my favorite goddess. Artemis was the Goddess of the Hunt. She had 50 hounds and 50 Dreiads (wood nymphs) and a quiver full of painless silver arrows. She was the daughter of Zeus and Leto as well as being last of the three maiden goddesses (in addition to Hestia and Athena). Artemis didn't carry the moon across the sky, but being a moon goddess was definitely part of her identity. Stunningly beautiful, she swore never to marry - this is not a coincidence! She was the Protector of Young Women as well as a midwife. She was incredibly cool for a lot of reasons, but my favorite is that her worship ranged from very dark (human sacrifice) to personal (virgins dedicated her their lingerie on the night they married) to just fun (women dressing up like a bear and dancing)
Anyway, She be not lovable; and you did say 'love' so I'll stick with Mariah. (she raised me)
    grey

  • ah, my chameleon poet. even tired, thee inspires me to say: my karma seems to be similar to my chosen goddess/model/mentor, then. i seem to not be made for marriage or even partnership. (my numerology or birth number seems to confirm this.) there is one, probably many, that would say i be not lovable. hence the lovely distance of xanga. if thee was raised by Mariah, thee has written poetry for her? (i need to research your blog...)

  • @belskaylar -

Loveable? What does that mean? Beyond the multiplicy of it's many insinuations, ranging from sex and nature and art, who's say it's not a floating idea that keeps our race going beyond it's time. Remember Thomas Malthus, that's not a joke, 'cause, goodness, look around; and say --ok, the meter and rhythm and have been violated, but just this time.
I promise not to be this goofy again. But I'm way beyond tired and sleepy again. (poor baby; tsk tsk. grin 2x)

  • @belskaylar -

There once was a maiden, who lived in her dreams.
Which is commendable, (dreams are needed)
    She was beautiful and intelligent,
She road a Great White Horse
    And All seemed well.

She sensed a flaw, in her intelligent dreams
There was no goal within her lofty dreams
Still she could fly away, on the Great White Horse
And not think about it -- with her hair – flying in the wind

    sleepy, again zzzzzzzzzzzz

    Later, since you told me not to go away. finis; au temporare;

goodness ; ) being not very well-educated i.e. mostly self-educated and following my own strange and interesting (to me) interests, i had to go look up thomas malthus. so now i'm tired ; ) tired of aquarian minds with their hard, genius edges. but maybe only fighting the part of me that's aquarian. being a student of Abraham (esther/jerry hicks), i notice that he was ahead of his time in realizing that the 'evil' or blemishes caused us to want something more/different/improved. because of said 'blemishes', we evolved, mentally, spiritually, physically. i am, even now, trying to use this consciously to create...
?there's a flaw in my dream? ; ) there's no goal in my dream?
do tell, sweet salty-one ; ) or am i not asking the right questions?

  • @belskaylar -

i gather from your 'zzzzz' that thee is off to dreamland, poetic one. not to worry about timeliness of thy reply to my queries. at your leisure. i can wait for thy wisdom ; )

  • Yes. I shall recall my Goddess Maria. She is part of me, and a poem or three, for her,now thee will surely not be forgotten. Give me time; it will be some. not much. Goddess worship is permanent. grey

  • Hye there!

How are you.  I been on and off caugh by fever this few weeks.  Hope life treated you nicely.

  • @belskaylar -

Your profile is scarey, dear one. Exotic

ryc comment to bel's kaylar, a klingon warrior and fierce mother; let me give thee a different side to me, then ; )

  • @RestlessButterfly -

I'v been sick also, so forgive, if you will. Only temporarily. bless you, darling child. grey

  • @dryadwoods -

I can only guess the other side of you, but my guesses often turn out true, so blast away with fire. (grin) grey

  • @saltypepper1357 -

could one woman contain a dryad and a sword-wielding-one? could they be belted together, but not to draw blood nor best one over the other? 'tis an amazing universe; this verse ; )

  • @belskaylar -

For now I neglect "not lovable." But you asked of Mariah.

    Mariah

Mariah sang the songs I loved, when growing up a child. No words, you know, just howling wind and often wildish fire. But then she gave the rain that grew what kinfolk knew, replacing all required. This kept the cycle going, for without it there would not be any. So worship or just perish, for without there would not be no Plenty.

Odd, I’d say, for right now outside there’s much thunder. And lightening provides the world with it’s nitrogen fertilizing Gaea’s many. And this we need or turn to dust, So I truly worship Mariah.

  • @dryadwoods -

query #1 Yes; with no doubt or reservation.
Query #2 Yes; though danger hangs in balance
unasked Query #3; Yes; although, with a mind like yours, surely you must have thought it through enough to realize this universe would be still more amazing were it any other way.

Your verse is provocing, thoughtful, and very well constructed. Grace upon thee whoever you be. (grin)

  • @saltypepper1357 -

i thank thee for kind words, grey-one. (i think, no, know; there are universes not amazing nor versed. but indeed, small, altho when i'm inside, overwhelming.) thee knows me, grey-one, salty-poet; the dryad and the sworded elven share the same computer & body that cannot hear your latest vid-tech post. luckily, thee gave me the verse 'Dorelei' in print. i understand the gist but not the details, which intrigue.

  • sweet worship of thy goddess, mariah. (i'm tempted to mention Icarus, but even mentioning him in connection with the salty-poet reminds me of thy groundedness ; )

  • @dryadwoods -

I sent a letter of congratulations to my favorite extant singing godtdesses, ie, Celtic Woman They loved it and even sent back an audulory reply, which exults me greatly. I'v been trying to send you copies, but the Great Xanga wont let me/ I'd like to send them but don't know how. Have thee a way to do so? I would like to know how. grey

  • @saltypepper1357 -

s'alright, grey-one; my computer is deaf and my knowledge of sign language is of no use to the poor blind machine. that is cool; to have a whole band of women respond/sing back to thee. would that i were so blessed ; )

  • @belskaylar -

Do me a favor, please. Don't remove that picture of you, black on black with fingers going up your sleeve. I love it. It remindeth me of thee.
    grey

  • @saltypepper1357 -

which one, grey-one? the one in the mar.24th post, the moon fairy? although she doesn't really have any sleeves on ; ) or did thee mean another?

  • @belskaylar -

Pagan? What be pagam? Not "BELIEVING" in what? I like the word.
    grey

  • @saltypepper1357 -

ah, i am recognizing a re-working of this story, now ; ) you are a far-seer, then, grey-one. you knew this? the white horse is important, but no one but myself has ever seen him. it was a powerful dream.

  • @saltypepper1357 -

is the grey-celtic teasing me, in not knowing 'pagan'? because by now, i would know better (or maybe assume) than to ask the question.
still, some wiki? ;) "Paganism (from Latin paganus, meaning "country dweller", "rustic")[1] is a blanket term used to refer to various polytheistic religions. The group so defined includes most of the Eastern religions, Native American religions and mythologies, as well as non-Abrahamic folk religions in general. More narrow definitions will not include any of the world religions and restrict the term to local or rural currents not organized as civil religions. Characteristic of pagan traditions is the absence of proselytism and the presence of a living mythology which explains religious practice.[2]
Both "pagan" and "heathen" have historically been used as a pejorative by adherents of monotheistic religions (such as Judaism, Christianity and Islam) to indicate a disbeliever in their religion, although in modern times it is not always used as a pejorative. "Paganism" frequently refers to the religions of classical antiquity, most notably Greek mythology or Roman religion, and can be used neutrally or admiringly by those who refer to those complexes of belief."
